I wasn’t planning on sharing a whole blog about my 2nd Sabbath (9/13/26), but there were SO many God moments that I just have to share!

For Sabbath, 7 of us (me, Teagan, Carli, Hahna, Ellie Joy, James, and Ayden) decided we wanted to go to church! Our Sabbath fell on a Sunday, and we have had mini church sessions throughout these last 2 weeks, but no actual church service. So we took an uber to Riverbend Church and heard such a good message on Community, talking about how even Jesus had and needed community and what it looks like in the body of Christ. After, we decided to go get lunch together, but the closest open food place was a 1.7 mile walk (about 40 minutes). As we started walking, Carli specifically and the others were talking about how they just felt that God was going to bless us today, that our food was going to get covered and we were going to get a ride home. Me personally, I was in awe of their faith, but I’ve never thought of God like that before. I desire to have a faith that believes God wants to bless me in small ways, and how to correctly think that way, but I am still processing through what that looks like. 

Anyways, we walk, chatting it up, and me and James have a good conversation that ends in him praying for me. We reach this “park” next to a pizza place and decide to sit and wait for the pizza place to open at noon. As we wait, we’re just discussing the message and what it looks like to grow in community back home, when Teagan tells us “Hey, my mom wants to pay for our lunch! Food, soda, literally anything we want!” We started freaking out because we were just saying how God was going to provide our lunch today! We got to go and enjoy delicious pizza and soda (thank you Mrs. Bobst) and just enjoy being in community with one another! After, we start walking back to the church with the intention of getting an uber from the church back to base. As we’re walking, we see an AIM bus drive by us and honk at us 😂but not stop, probably because they had no room. 

We reach the church and rest in the shade in the parking lot for a moment, as Ayden orders and uber. As we are waiting, 2 pastors from the church ask if we want to stand inside in the AC. We said yes, and as we headed inside, they asked what we were waiting for. We said an uber to get back to base, and one of the pastors says “I’ll drive you guys back right now!” Literally God showing up again! So we get in this big 14+ person van as he gives us a free ride back to base!

It doesn’t stop there though. The pastor was sharing that he and some other pastors were driving down to Jacksonville, Florida for a church leaders conference at 2:30pm today. He offered to give us a ride at 2:10pm - literally in the nick of time, not coincidence, but God! James then asked him “do you own this van?” To which he responded “no, we actually rented it out yesterday for the conference”. Y’all, we wouldn’t have been able to get a ride without this van, and they happened to have it to give us a ride! Literally God showing up for us in ways that cannot be a coincidence! It was God! 

Also, it has been SO hot and humid here, but the entire time we were walking the weather was nice, it was barely humid, it wasn’t even that hot, and we were barely sweating! God truly was looking out for His children and smiling upon us. I love my Dad, and I know He loves me! God is just too good to us ☺️

Look for God in the little and small things, and know He cares deeply for you. He is the Provider, and He loves His children so much. Find things to thank God for today! Even the worship at church today was all centered around gratitude to God! He deserves all the praise, all the glory, and all thanksgiving and gratitude!
